Hi John!!! I had just finished reading the book and... you know... no words. When you said at the beggining or the book we would laugh and cry, that's exactly what happened to me.
I love dogs, they're my passion. I got a dog from my daddy when I was 5 years old and she lived until I was 20 years old. She was small, but sometimes, her behaviour was more destructive than a big one. And there are a lot of things in your book that she used to do, exactly like Marley!!!! So funny...
Congratulations for your book and for your beautifull family.

Hi John, I'd like to tell you that your book is a huge sucess here in Brazil. I got your book last month and I'd just finished reading it this week. I have one female Labrador just like Marley, but Lisa is just 2 years old. At the end of your book I cried a lot and I could not stop kissing and hugging my dogs (I also have a 6 years old female poodle, July). I imagine the pain of your loss. But what I want to say is that your book is really emotive and I loved it. Congratulations for it.
I wish for you and your family a great 2007.

Hi John, Got your book for Xmas and have just finished it. I cried more than I laughed! My wife and I have a black lab who is getting on (bless him), I think there's a bit of Marley in all Labs...long may he live on.

Hi Grogan family,
Just wanted to say I just finished the book about 30 min ago. This was the best book I have have ever read. We have a lab Leo and he looks so much like Marley I had to buy the book and im so glad I did! Its nice knowing we are not alone in our crazy dog days. As I was finishing I was almost weeping and had to put the book down for a moment and here comes Leo jumping half on my lap so worried that I was crying and just licking me until I laughed and the ran off again. Just wanted to let you know I think you are brilliant and hope you write another book! We cannot wait to watch you on Ceaser! Funny I bought both yours and his book at the same time. Gave Ceasers to my husband in hopes he could teach Leo a thing or two! Have a great New Year!

Hello John!
First of all, happy New Year for you and your family! I have to agree with Gabi (she sent you a comment here) who said that your book is a huge success here in Brazil. Last 28th I went to a bookstore to buy a gift to my mom (it was her birthday) when I suddenly saw "Marley and me" over there. "Life and love with the world's worst dog"??? I have to read it. And in 4 days I finished it. I LOVE DOGS, so when you wrote about your experiences with Marley, I could understand everything you meant. Congratulations for your book. It deserves this success.
Say hi to Jen and the kids for me. It seems that I already met them in person! lol
May God bless you and your family.

Hi John, my mom gave your book because I have a Corcky mix soon to be something one day. And in reading your book I learn to appreciate my dog more. I want to say that I don't think I have read a book that made me Laugh so hard one min and then turn around a cry so much that people around thought something was wrong with me. In reading your book I remembered my first Pet "Honey" who all died of a turned stomach. I don't know who I was cry for most Marley or my Honey. Just wanted to say that your book was great!!!!!!!! I just felt like I was right there in your living room or on the beach when reading and just wanted you to know I really enjoyed it.
I saw your book and bought it, and I have been reading it all day. I cannot put it down! I haven't laughed this much in a long time! My daughter has a black Lab. Interestingly, her name is Gracie. (If I read it right, your current dog is also Gracie?). We, too have been pulled, jumped on, slobbered on, etc. I have found a wonderful halter called a Sporn halter, which is better than the popular Halti. It works miracles in the pulling department. We are waiting (patiently?) for the magic number 3...everyone I have talked to say their labs calmed down at age 3.
Thank you so much for writing this book!
Hi John! I just recently finished your book and I have to say, it was one of the best books I have read so far. I was up until 12 reading it one night because I just couldn't put it down! You have such a great writing style and you truly are a great writer. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next! By the way, the ending of Marley and Me made me cry! Not kidding! That's how you know someone is a really good writer...when they make me cry! I laughed so much at the crazy tales of marley's wild antics! You described things so perfectly!
--Best wishes with you and your family (Gracie too!),

Hi John! I'm 13.. My Dad bought Marley & Me last year, to read on holiday. He said it was really good. I've just finished reading it. And I can honestly say it's the best book I've ever read. I finished it today in one of my lessons at school, and I burst out crying. Everyone in the class stared, but I was just touched. I got home and I just had to find some way of saying thank you for making such a brilliant book. I hope you make more books, I'll definatly read them. Love to all your family, and to Gracie. :) x
